For two decades, the Vancouver Christmas Tree Lighting has sparkled downtown as the city’s favourite way to kick off the holiday season. Come celebrate with us this year, in the glow of the tree or from home through our live stream.
THE TREE
The 76-foot Christmas tree is the star of the show, a full holiday spectacle lighting up downtown Vancouver. And once it lights up, it stays lit for the entire holiday season.

This free public holiday celebration shines a light on local charities and the work they do for our community. Your support funds causes like BC Children’s Hospital Foundation, the Vancouver International Children’s Festival, and Honour House. 100% of proceeds from the Vancouver Christmas Tree Lighting Celebration go straight back into the community.
